keep the church out of my government [Nov. 6th, 2009|10:13 am]
so, many people are nice & irritated with the catholic church for illegally using church money & collecting at church. so, you want to do something about it but dont know how. well here are the instructions for making a complaint to the IRS. you do not need to be a resident of maine to do this and it'll probably take less than 30min to do. To keep our noses out of their preaching they have to keep their noses out of politics. it's the law.

so post & re-post

"The narrow lose of marriage equality in the state of Maine got you down? So mad you could spit? Fed up with religious organizations blithely contribute to political campaigns while blithely maintaining their tax exempt status? Well take all the pent up frustration and channel it into a worthwhile endeavour. Lodging an official complaint against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland, ME.
How you ask?
Why it's easy!
First go to this website, http://www.irs.gov/charities/article/0,,id=131651,00.html to download the instructions and official IRS form. That's right kids, there's a handy dandy official form.

Then check out these websites for documentation of the Roman Catholic Diocese's inappropriate and prohibited lobbying activities:

http://www.bangordailynews.com/detail/120219.html
http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=17112
http://www.bangordailynews.com/detail/126665.html

And the piece de resistance?

A list of all contributions made by the Diocese. Love it!

http://www.mainecampaignfinance.com/public/entity_financial_transactions.asp?TYPE=BQC&ID=4528

Print it all out, put your package together, give it a little kiss and drop it in the mail.

Don't forget the EIN! 77-061-2679 Or the address: 510 Ocean Ave Portland, ME 04103.

Texas will be swimming in complaints in no time.

In all seriousness, the more people who complain, the more credence the IRS will have to give it. Let's all work together on this. Take a stand for love, tolerance and playing by the rules. I promise you won't regret it."

yes, it is a slippery slope. [Nov. 4th, 2009|12:16 pm]
so the biggoted bastards who voted yes warned of a slippery slope if we made gay marriage legal. but now that it has been voted down we have bugun down the truly slippery slope.
for next year's ballot:
TITLE: An Act to Remove Protections Based on Sexual Orientation from the Maine Human Rights Act, Eliminate Funding of Civil Rights Teams in Public Schools, Prohibit Adoptions by Unmarried Couples, Add a Definition of Marriage, and Declare Civil Unions Unlawful
Issued: May 21, 2008; 18-month deadline: November 21, 2009
from: http://www.maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/pets02/pets02-1.htm

i'm calling it the 'hate is good' act. and i say fuck 'em, hard & violently.

the problem with liberals. [Oct. 29th, 2009|10:06 am]
i know i'm probably preaching to the choir but...

there is a glaring problem with liberals today. (and here i'm referring to social liberals, not fiscal.) they are so concerned about hurting someone’s feelings that they will not truly stand up for what they believe in. they will not draw a line in the sand and say 'this line cannot be crossed!', instead they say things like 'everyone is entitled to their opinion.' lets face it, bigotry & prejudice are not valid and do not deserve their place in america.

So I’ll make a stand.

i will be intolerant of intolerance. and i don't give a rat's ass if it is hypocritical. If your group is an intolerant group I will not tolerate that group.

I will hate. i will hate people who, by their bigoted & prejudicial actions, have proven that they are worthless. if your opinion is one that you feel entitled to deride groups or classes of people, because of who or what they are, then I Fucking Hate You. Make a new home in a taliban state where you belong & get the fuck out of my country you unpatriotic motherfucker.

best synopsis of christianity ever [Oct. 26th, 2009|02:05 pm]
'the belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie, who was his own father, can make you live forever. to live forever you must symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master. he will then remove an evil force from your soul, an evil force which is present in humanity because a rib woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...6000 years ago.'

left 4 dead 2 forbidden in australia [Oct. 23rd, 2009|11:51 am]
they are going to be getting a nerfed version of the game but the bloody gory mess we'll get here will not be there. here's why they won't let it play:

* It notes that this violence is "inflicted upon ‘the Infected' who are living humans infected with a rabies-like virus that causes them to act violently."

* The report singles out the use of melee weapons as those that "inflict the most damage" and cause "copious amounts of blood spray and splatter (sic), decapitations and limb dismemberment… or even cause intestines to spill from the wounds."

* In conclusion, the Board finds that the "interactive nature of the game increases the overall impact of the frequent and intense depictions of violence. This coupled with the graphic depictions of blood and gore combine to create a playing impact which is high."

I can't wait.

Our short film won an award. [Sep. 11th, 2009|09:22 am]
For best make-up, since i was part of the make-up crew this is pretty keen.

X-post from GaiusC
( from Shoggoth Assembly Website ) We won the Best Makeup award at the 2009 48 hour film award ceremony this evening. There were around 28 films entered for competition, and there was a lot of makeup work, so this is a pretty cool to get. Thanks especially to Ian and Conrad for helping out that day, and to all the actors who really sold the makeup jobs. Our short clip they showed when we won was of Leo biting his finger off. Got the whole crowd to go "Ewwww" at once. :)

If you have not seen the movie yet, it is up on youtube.
